Pearly Papillon
Happy Labor Day! I hope you have been able to carve out some creative time on this long holiday weekend in between BBQ's and family events! My husband and I took some time yesterday for a long drive topped off by dinner 'a la fresca' with live music and a gentle sea breeze...heaven!!
Today I am back in my stamping room with a project inspired by fellow Pals Naki and Nina's Double Dare Challenge #3. This week the Double Dare Challenge was to create a project using butterflies and Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. Hmmm, that is an interesting combination!
EZ Design Tips:
- Pair a vibrant pattern paper with muted colors to emphasize softness, in this case Basic Gray and just a touch of More Mustard
- The romantic Flowering Flourishes stamp set adds even more softness to the design
- A butterfly stamped with Papillon Potpourri and punched with the matching Elegant Butterfly Punch and popped up with a dimensional adds visual interest
- Basic Pearls add the finishing layer of softness
I just love the Flexibilities of Stampin' Up!'s designs in that I was able to take a pattern paper that one would normally associate with Halloween and make it soft and romantic.
