Clean and Simple Saturday - Festive Christmas

Okay, I know what you're thinking..."A RED snowflake???" Yep. Who says snowflakes can't be red? Is that written down anywhere? Nope, okay then, a very chipper and RED snowflake it is! lol

A funny story about this snowflake....I had this card all designed in my head. I was going to mix Cherry Cobbler Emobssing Powder with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to make my RED snowflake shimmer but when I reached for my Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder it was no where to be found! WHAT?! I was sure I had ordered it...it turns out it is one of only two I don't own. Figures! So, I improvised! I stamped the image in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, then again in Versamark Ink. Then I sprinkled Heat & Stick Powder over it, heat set it with my Heat Tool, and then added some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and set it again. A little more work than I had anticipated but it sure came out nice and sparkly!

I also heat embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder to make sure it popped of the card. I know it isn't fair to have favorites, but...I think this one IS my favorite!

I popped my snowflake up with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it a bit more wow...and of course the Large Rhinestone jewel is the crowning touch :)

I realize that while I do stamp frequently on the inside of the card, I am terrible about taking pictures of them...both the outside and inside sentiments are from the More Merry Messages stamp set. I highly recommend this stamp set, it is very versatile! This set is actually a carry over from last year so it can only be seen online.

The snowflake is from the Snow Day stamp set, I just thought it added a little 'something'.

Thanks for stopping by...please let me know what you think about my RED snowflake (!) and enjoy your Saturday, I intend to spend mine decorating for Christmas!

Hello there and happy hump day again!

Before I jump into today's post I just wanted to thank all my visitors yesterday who stopped by to look at my Sponge Dauber tutorial and for those of you who left comments...THANK YOU!!!! Sorry for the shouty caps but I really appreciate your comments and feedback!

Today I wanted to share a few cards I created with the new Endless Wishes Photopolymer stamp set from Stampin' Up! I loved this set the minute I saw it because of it's versatility.

My first card is a "little bit country"...

The next is a little "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"...

And the last card is a little "Uptown Girl"!

All the same stamp set, all the same Designer Series Paper...just used a little bit differently! Now I say that is versaility in this stamp set!

Here is a little peek at the detail in my "Girls Just Wanna have Fun" version so you can see the sparkle!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the different flavors of this stamp set and are inspired to make it your own "flavor"...

Clean and Simple Christmas - PPA177 Sketch Challenge

Hello stampers! Today I have a clean and simple Christmas card to share with you! I know, I know, we aren't even done with Halloween and I'm already showcasing Christmas cards. But it will be here before we know it and those handmade cards take some time to make!

So this year I vow to keep the cards clean and simple like this! This card features the Daydream Medallions stamp set and this medallion makes a perfect wreath! Add a bow and dazzling details, both in Cherry Cobbler and it is a perfectly festive wreath! The designer series paper I have used here is from the Seasons of Style paper pack...and this pattern is a wonderful backdrop for our wreath. A banner with a sentiment from the More Merry Messages stamp set finishes the card off perfectly.

A thank you goes out to Nicole Watt for her awesome sketch this week over at the Pals paper Arts Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Little Christmas...in August!

In honor of the Holiday Catalog release I want to share a card with you that has me humming Christmas carols!

The inspiration for this card came from a delightful sketch over at The Paper Players. I just love clean and simple so this spoke to me immediately! I also decided to play along with the Merry Monday "Month Long-Anything Goes Christmas" Challenge.

My goal this year is to create my Christmas cards beginning NOW and continuing through the fall with the goal of having them complete and ready to mail by Halloween...I will keep you posted on my progress:)

The Designer Series Paper I have used here can be found in the "Season of Style" Designer Series Paper pack. The colors featured here are classic Christmas all the way...Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler! The stamp set is called "Merry Little Christmas" and has three stamps that coordinate beautifully. I have stamped off on another piece of Whisper White card stock in Old Olive to add a little banner for contrast. Three Candy Dots in Old Olive add the perfect finishing touch. Candy Dots have become a staple around my crafting table!

I featured the Envelope Liners Framelits Die again today. I can't tell you enough how easy it is to add a HUGE touch of elegance to a card with this simple tool. It is so easy to use and not only is it beautiful to look at, it also adds a heft to the envelope that just screams "style"!

So...one Christmas card down and a stack to go...who's with me to get started and finished and enjoy a more stress-free holiday this year?
