These new Circle Card Thinlits Dies sure make it easy to whip up a fabulous card! And it's time to start thinking about how to celebrate those we love with colors inspired by the Pals Paper Arts Design Team. They keep the creativity flowing! This week they have a color challenge for us:

This wonderful color combination made creating this Valentine's Day card so fun!

EZ Peasy Design Tips:

  • Pre-cutting and attaching a 3" x 5 1/2" piece of designer series paper to your base layer prior to cutting it with the thinlit die makes the circle cut out inside a breeze
  • The 2 1/2" Circle Punch fits perfectly inside the circle on the base card
  • The scallop circle shape on the inside of the card is included in the Circle Card Thinlit Dies set and makes a perfect spot to leave a personal note
  • The large heart image here is from the Language of Love Stamp Set and is designed to be used with the Full Heart Punch - ez peasy
  • The small heart, cut here with Red Glimmer Paper, is also included in the Circle Card Thinlit Dies set
  • The zig-zag was easily created using the Bigz XL Tasteful Trim Die
  • The little banner is stamped with an image from the Love You to the Moon Stamp Set and provides not only a wonderful sentiment but also balances the card out
  • Isn't the lined envelope a wonderful touch? It add such a heft to the envelope that you just know there is something special inside! The Envelope Liners Framelits Dies are on sale this week!

Sunflower Hello - PPA 182 Color Challenge

Here's a quick and easy card for you to whip up and send to a special someone! The colors for today's card were inspired by the designers over at the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge:

I used a bold stamp with this bold color palette so I kept the rest of the card simple to compensate.

I love the tiny banner peeking out from under the sentiment banner. It adds a bit of visual interest without detracting from either the main image or the sentiment. And just one candy dot today, in Smoky Slate, to compliment the background layer.

The richness of the color makes the image look embossed in person. It is simply beautiful!

The Envelope Liners Framelits Dies make it so easy to create a rich, lush envelope liner-I consider them a "must-have" in my stamping space.

Please let me know what you think of today's card!

Clean and Simple Saturday - New Product Sneak Peek

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog will be kicking off on January 3, 2014. As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I get to pre-order products from the catalog and share them with you! In addition, Stampin' Up! will be kicking off its Sale-A-Bration promotion on January 28, 2014. With every $50 purchase you get to pick an exclusive Sale-A-Bration product FREE! How exciting! So while you are making your selections from the new Occasions Catalog, you are also earning FREE product!

I chose the current challenge sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches to showcase these wonderful new products.

The Designer Series Paper can be earned FREE during Sale-A-Bration and the stamp featured will be in the upcoming Occasions Catalog. Aren't they just beautiful!

I used the Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Arm Attachment and the Small Scallop Rotary Blade to create the small scallop here in Crisp Cantaloupe. I also added a bit of shimmer to my paper with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Dazzing Diamonds Stampin' Glitter.

I stamped my sentiment in Crisp Cantaloupe and then stamped it again on a bit of scrap cardstock and fussy cut the heart out. I used more glue and Dazzling Diamonds to added shimmer and popped it up with just a snippit of a Stampin' Dimensional. EZ Peasy! With wonderful products like these, a super cute card is just minutes away!

Won't you take a minute to let me know what you think of the new product? Do you love it as much as I do? I can't wait to share more!

Clean and Simple Saturday - Festive Christmas

Okay, I know what you're thinking..."A RED snowflake???" Yep. Who says snowflakes can't be red? Is that written down anywhere? Nope, okay then, a very chipper and RED snowflake it is! lol

A funny story about this snowflake....I had this card all designed in my head. I was going to mix Cherry Cobbler Emobssing Powder with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to make my RED snowflake shimmer but when I reached for my Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder it was no where to be found! WHAT?! I was sure I had ordered it...it turns out it is one of only two I don't own. Figures! So, I improvised! I stamped the image in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, then again in Versamark Ink. Then I sprinkled Heat & Stick Powder over it, heat set it with my Heat Tool, and then added some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter and set it again. A little more work than I had anticipated but it sure came out nice and sparkly!

I also heat embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder to make sure it popped of the card. I know it isn't fair to have favorites, but...I think this one IS my favorite!

I popped my snowflake up with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it a bit more wow...and of course the Large Rhinestone jewel is the crowning touch :)

I realize that while I do stamp frequently on the inside of the card, I am terrible about taking pictures of them...both the outside and inside sentiments are from the More Merry Messages stamp set. I highly recommend this stamp set, it is very versatile! This set is actually a carry over from last year so it can only be seen online.

The snowflake is from the Snow Day stamp set, I just thought it added a little 'something'.

Thanks for stopping by...please let me know what you think about my RED snowflake (!) and enjoy your Saturday, I intend to spend mine decorating for Christmas!
